Guangzhou, also known as Canton, Yangcheng and flower city, is the capital of Guangdong Province in southern China. It is one of the most populous and vibrant cities in China, with a rich history dating back over 2,200 years. As a major port and trading hub, Guangzhou has long been an important center of commerce and cultural exchange.  

Guangzhou is a modern metropolis with a booming economy and a thriving manufacturing and trading industry. It serves as a crucial transportation hub, connecting China to the rest of the world through its international airport and extensive railway network.

It is home to several iconic landmarks, such as Canton Tower, Guangzhou Opera House and the Five Rams Statue in Yuexiu Park. Additionally, Guangzhou hosts the Canton Fair since 1957, the largest trade fair in China, attracting thousands of international buyers and exhibitors twice a year. 2. Weather/Climate 

Guangzhou, located in the Pearl River Delta, has a climate shaped by both oceanic and continental influences. Nestled between the Nanling Mountains and the South China Sea, it experiences average annual temperatures of 21.7°C to 23.1°C. 

The city features a Subtropical Monsoon Climate. In March and April, warm, humid air from South China meets cold air from Siberia, forming quasi-stationary fronts that bring cloudy, humid weather with light rain or fog. This phenomenon, known as huinantian, results in a persistently damp atmosphere.
