The Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship, which is intended to provide financial support to international degree students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance. Please see below for more information on the scholarship application.
Candidates
1.Those who intend to pursue undergraduate, master and doctoral degrees in HKUST(GZ)
2.Those who have studied in HKUST(GZ) for more than 1 year
Scholarship
1.Bachelor students:  RMB 10000/person
2.Master students:   RMB 20000/person
3.Doctoral students:  RMB 30000/person

The university offers admission scholarships to top international students. Scholarships are awarded to students from diverse backgrounds based on their academic achievement as well as their non-academic accomplishment. No separate application is required.

These Regulations are formulated in accordance with the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the Exit and Entry Administration Law), for the purpose of regulating the issuance of visas and provision of services to, and administration of affairs of, foreigners who stay or reside within the territory of China.

In order to regulate exit/entry administration, safeguard the sovereignty, security and social order of the People’s Republic of China, and promote foreign exchanges and opening to the outside world, this Law is hereby formulated.

This Law is enacted with a view to maintaining road traffic order, taking precautions against and reducing traffic accidents, protecting personal safety, preserving the safety of property and other lawful rights and interests of citizens, legal persons and other organizations, and increasing passage efficiency.
