Guangzhou, known as the "City of the Five Rams" and the "City of Flowers," boasts a rich history spanning over 2200 years, offering a plethora of historical sites and cultural attractions to discover and explore. 

 

Canton Tower 

Address: No.222, Yuejiang West Road, Haizhu District 

The Canton Tower (Chinese: 广州塔), alternatively referred to as the Guangzhou TV Astronomical and Sightseeing Tower (Chinese: 广州电视台天文及观光塔) and affectionately nicknamed the "tiny waist", stands as an iconic landmark in Guangzhou. Soaring to a height of 600 meters, it holds the distinction of being China's tallest sightseeing tower and the second tallest in the world. 

 

Haixin Bridge 

Address: Next to Ersha Island Art Park, Qingbo Road, Haizhu District 

The Haixin Bridge, an impressive curved-girder, cable-stayed bridge, stretches over 198 meters of water, with a total length of 488 meters and a width of 15 meters. It was constructed in 2021 and holds the distinction of being Guangzhou's first pedestrian bridge to span across the Pearl River. Additionally, it proudly claims the titles of having the world's largest span and widest bridge deck. Recognizing its excellence, the bridge was honored with the prestigious "Outstanding Pedestrian Bridge" award by the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) in 2022, along with the "Asia Lighting Design Awards-Light of Asia" and a gold medal in the 2023 World Pedestrian Bridge Award.Guangdong Museum 

 

Chen's Lineage Hall 

Address: No. 34, Enlongli, Zhongshan Qi Road, Liwan District 

The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, also known as the Chen Clan Academy, is one of the largest surviving traditional buildings in Guangzhou. It proudly holds the titles of being the largest, best-preserved, and most beautifully decorated hall-type building in China, earning it the revered designation of "the pearl of Lingnan architectural art." Notably, the ancestral hall boasts rich decorations both inside and outside the halls, showcasing intricate wood carvings, stone carvings, brick carvings, pottery, plasterwork, and iron engravings. It serves as a remarkable collection of various artistic mediums, adorning beams, ridges, walls, and columns throughout the building. 

 

Yuexiu Park 

Address: No.988, Jiefang North Road, Yuexiu District 

Yuexiu Park is the largest comprehensive park in Guangzhou. Covering an area of 690,000 square meters, it is made up of seven hills of Yuexiu Mountain and three artificial lakes. The main places of interests include Five Rams Sculpture, Zhenhai Tower, Yuexiu Stadium and Pavilion of Regaining. And Five Rams Sculpture is the landmark of Guangzhou.  

 

Baiyun Mountain 

Adress: No.801, Guangyuan Middle Road, Tonghe Subdistrict, Baiyun District 

Baiyun Mountain, one of the most famous mountains in southern Guangdong, has been celebrated as Guangzhou's premier scenic destination since ancient times. It holds the distinction of being the city's first national 5A scenic area and is recognized as a National Civilized Scenic and Tourist Area, making it the only attraction in Guangzhou to receive both honors. With over 28 square kilometers of forest, Baiyun Mountain is often referred to as the "lung of Guangzhou." A cable car ride to the summit offers breathtaking views of the Pearl River Delta and the distant urban landscape of Guangzhou. 

 

Beijing Road Pedestrian Street 

Address: Beijing Road, Yuexiu District 

Beijing Road Pedestrian Street is a vibrant hub of culture, entertainment, and commerce, making it the most significant business district in Guangzhou's history, drawing in 100 million tourists annually. It serves as the starting point for Guangzhou's urban development, with nearby attractions such as the Nanyue King Museum and the Guangzhou Big Buddha Temple. 

 

Shamian Island 

Address: No.3, Shamian South Street, Liwan District 

Shamian Island, which means "sandy surface" and was formerly known as Shicuizhou ("green and lush island"), is a sandbar in the Pearl River formed by alluvial deposits. Historically, Shamian served as a crucial commercial port in Guangzhou. Over the past century, more than ten countries established consulates on the island, and it became home to nine foreign banks and over forty international firms. Its European-style architecture has created a unique open-air museum of historical buildings. 

 

Xiguan Yongqing Fang Tourist Area 

Address: No.99, Enning Road, Liwan District 

Yongqing Fang is situated on Enning Road, the most picturesque arcade street in Guangzhou's Liwan District. Formerly known as Xiguan, this area is rich in cultural heritage. The 76-hectare tourist destination features three iconic attractions: Yongqing Fang, the Art Museum of Cantonese Opera, and Lychee Bay. 

 

Huacheng Square 

Address: No.89, Huacheng Avenue, Tianhe District 

Known as the "living room of Guangzhou," Huacheng Square is the largest square in the city. Situated in the heart of Zhujiang New Town, it lies along the city's new central axis. The square is surrounded by 39 iconic buildings, including the new Guangzhou Library, Guangzhou Opera House, Guangdong Museum, Guangzhou Second Children's Palace, and Guangzhou International Financial Center, among others. This vibrant area serves as a cultural and social hub, offering a blend of modern architecture and public space for residents and visitors alike. 

 

Shawan Ancient Town 

Address: No.10, Daxiangchong Road, Shawan Town, Panyu District 

Established during the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), Shawan Ancient Town showcases Lingnan cultural traditions and boasts a history of over 800 years. It is recognized as a significant symbol of Guangfu culture, rich in both tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The town is home to numerous well-preserved ancient buildings, including ancestral halls, temples, and various commercial and residential sites. Throughout its history, Shawan has nurtured a vibrant cultural scene, featuring Guangdong music, the Piaose floating colors parade, dancing dragons and lions, local cuisine, and other folk arts, all of which continue to thrive today.
